Go Absolutely Bananas: A Tropical Vodka & Banana Liqueur Cocktail Recipe

Are you Ready ? Because it is Time to Go

" Absolutely Bananas "

This bright, fruity cocktail brings together vodka, banana liqueur, and pineapple juice for a tropical ride that’s as wild as it is smooth. Whether you’re sipping poolside or need a vacation in a glass, this one’s worth shaking up.

What is
this cocktail made of, and why do people go bananas for it?

The Absolutely Bananas is a sunny, tropical cocktail made with vodka, banana liqueur, and pineapple juice. While it doesn’t have deep historical roots, it’s the kind of drink that thrives at beach bars, brunches, and fun nights in.

The combo of creamy banana notes and juicy pineapple gives off vacation vibes with every sip.

Though this is the most popular version, you can always put your own spin on it — try a splash of coconut liqueur or a twist of lime if you’re feeling experimental. But as-is, this vibrant yellow beauty is already a crowd-pleaser.

Here's how to do it yourself
Ingredients

60 ml ( 2 oz ) Vodka
20 ml ( 0.66 oz ) Banana Liqueur
60 ml ( 2 oz ) Pineapple Juice

Garnish : Banana Slice on a Cocktail Pick

Should You Pre-Chill Your Glass?

Yes — if you’re serving this in a martini or coupe glass, chilling it first is a great move.

Just pop it in the freezer or fill with ice water for a few minutes. But if you’re going with an ice sphere or cube inside the drink, like we did, that works too.

Want it extra cold and smooth? Do both.
