Who invented
this cocktail ?

The Blue Monday might not be a household name today, but it’s got roots in classic bartending history.

This striking blue cocktail is thought to have first appeared in the 1930s, adapted from a recipe in The Savoy Cocktail Book by legendary bartender Harry Craddock.

While it never reached the fame of other vodka-based drinks, its vivid color and punchy flavor make it a hidden gem worth rediscovering.

With just three core ingredients: Vodka, triple sec, and blue curacao — the Blue Monday delivers a crisp, citrusy sip with an electric hue that’s anything but boring.

How long should you stir the Blue Monday?

Since this cocktail is all spirits, stir instead of shake to keep the texture silky. Want it stronger? Stir briefly. Prefer it smoother? Stir longer to let dilution mellow the booze bite. Try both and see which version you love more!
