Detropolitan Cocktail Recipe & Tutorial

Whether you are a fan of cranberry or another lover of red cocktails, here’s one you must try out.

" Detropolitan "

Where did this cocktail come from ?

The Detropolitan is a variation of the ” Cosmopolitan ” which is a cocktail that first appeared in Pioneers of Mixing at Elite Bars 1903-1933 , published in 1934.

The original cocktail was made with Vodka, Cranberry Juice, Triple Sec & Lemon Juice.   The Detropolitan adds Raspberry liqueur into the mix.

Here is how it is done

Should we pre-chill the cocktail glass ?

There isn’t necessarily a right or wrong time to ever pre-chill a glass. It is actually a very nice thing to do as when the glass is cold it gives a very good feeling when the rim touches your lips as you are drinking.

In our case we almost never pre-chill the glasses because we want to preserve their look as we present them to you.

But surely we would always advice you to pre-chill the glasses you use for your cocktails as it’s such an amazing experience !

Do you normally pre-chill your glasses ?
