" Chocolate Martini "
Who invented this wonderful mix ?
The Chocolate Martini dates all the way back to the 1950s where a popular classic movie star by the name of Rock Hudson invented it.
He and one of his friends had a deep love for chocolate and martinis & that’s how the idea developped.
The simplest version of this cocktail is the one we’ll be doing together, made of any type of vodka combined with any time of chocolate liqueur or crème de cacao brown.
There are arguably more popular versions that include Irish cream or table cream with two types of liqueurs sometimes even dry vermouth as well.
Here is our
version of this cocktail
Ingredients

60 ml ( 2 oz ) Crème de Cacao Brown
Garnish : Chocolate Sprinkles & Chocolate Chips
How to do it
- Pour the Vodka & Crème de Cacao Brown into the Blossoming Cobbler Shaker using the Jigger Cup
- Add ice using the Stainless Steel ice Scoop
- Shake Well
- Garnish the Scaly Vee Glass with Chocolate Sprinkles
- Add a large rounded ice cube inside the glass using the Dragon’s Claw Tong
- Strain the cocktail into the glass
- Garnish again with some chocolate chips
Na zdravi !
Could I have stirred this cocktail instead ?
Absolutely !
When a cocktail consists simply of spirits ( Vodka / Gin / Rum etc… ) and Liqueurs ( such as crème de cacao brown or coffee liqueur in this game ) you do not need to shake it because the ingredients can easily mix together.
When it comes to this version of the Chocolate Martini you can surely Stir it in a mixing glass instead of shaking it, but if you’re adding any type of cream to the mix, you’ll then need to shake it for the drink to combine properly since cream is a heavy ingredient.
Would you have stirred this version of the Chocolate Martini ?
