The White Russian is a delicious yet so easy to make cocktail you would be surprised !
Putting in the mix some vodka, coffee liquor and cream and just whip it over a short glass full of ice and you’ll be having a delicious alternative to a yummy milkshake.
White Russian & Black Russian Relationship
The traditional well known cocktail named “ Black Russian “ which appeared in the mid 1900s becomes the White Russian when you add cream to it. Now to be fair neither of these drinks are actually Russian or have anything to do with Russia but they were named like that because of the use of vodka as the primary ingredient, which we all know … Russians and Vodka !
The Prime time of popularity for the White Russian was after the film The Big Lebowski. As throughout the movie it consistently appeared as the choice of cocktail for the protagonist, Jeffrey “The Dude” Lebowski.
Let’s dive into our style of making this lovely cocktail !
Ingredients
90 ml ( 3 oz ) Vodka
45 ml ( 1.5 oz )Coffee Liqueur
45 ml ( 1.5 oz ) Irish Cream ( or light cream / table cream )
Garnish : Coffee Beans
How to do it
- Pour Ice, Vodka & Coffee Liqueur into the bulged mixing glass using the classic liquid pourer
- Stir well using the classic bar spoon
- Fill up the Leg Day Skipper Glass with your chosen ice
- Strain the mix into the glass
- Pour the Irish cream onto the mix
- Garnish with coffee beans & put a straw in there

Tips : Now there are other methods that some would call more fancy or more advanced ways of making the White Russian, but that goes to personal preference and our goal here is to show you our version of it & make it as simple as possible for you to do it at home & Enjoy it !
