" Orange Blossom "

History of this cocktail

The Orange Blossom cocktail is a true vintage gem. Its earliest known version dates back to the 1930s, when it was featured in the Old Waldorf-Astoria Bar Book, a time when gin-based drinks reigned supreme.

That original version called for equal parts gin, sweet vermouth, and orange juice, served “up” in a martini glass.

Over the years, the cocktail evolved. The variation we’re making today swaps out sweet vermouth for triple sec, giving the drink a slightly sweeter, more citrus-forward profile. It’s typically served over ice in a short or Collins glass, making it even more refreshing. Whether you’re into cocktail history or just love a bright, citrusy drink, the Orange Blossom is a must-try.
