" Rumba Chumba "

The Story
Behind this Drink

One of our friends was visiting us as we were doing cocktails, and we know three things about him: He loves Muddled cocktails, Raspberries & Bitter Drinks ( Strange ? We thought so too )

He’s also known to like strong purely spirits cocktails so we gave this one a go and he loved it !

We named it ” The Rumba Chumba ” which stands for Rum, Cherries and Berries which are the drink’s components.  We’re happy to share it with you & hope you like it !

P.N :  It is a strong and bitter drink, we highly suggest that you taste it before offering it to guests.

Let's give it a go !

Ingredients

75 ml ( 2.5 oz ) White Rum
40 ml ( 1.33 oz ) Cherry Liqueur
40 ml ( 1.33 oz ) Raspberry Liqueur
3-4 Pieces of Blackberries

Garnish : Cherry & Flower on a Cocktail Pick

How to do it
  1. Add 3-4 Pieces of Blackberries into the Bulged Mixing Glass & Muddle them
  2. Pour in the White Rum, Cherry Liqueur & Raspberry Liqueur using the Diamond Spouted Single Jigger
  3. Stir the mix using the Disk Tail Spoon
  4. Strain the cocktail into the Classic Edged Champagne Glass using the Sköl Hawthorne Strainer
  5. Garnish with a Cherry & Flower on a Cocktail Pick
Pura vida !

Muddling Tip : You shouldn’t always muddle the ingredients of a cocktail roughly as it depends on the flavor u want and the type of ingredient u are using.

For instance, we want the blueberries here to extract all of their juice which is why we muddled them hard but if it were mint leaves we would gently muddle them 2-3 hits and stop before they unleash their bitterness. ( Other rules apply to other ingredients )
