What was the point of the flamed cinnamon stick ?
Cocktails that are made mainly from Whisky are always highly complemented with certain oils & scents that are added to the glass it is being served inside.
The most common way this is done is by twisting an orange or lemon peel and letting their oils mask the rim of the glass inside and or outside.
Cinnamon Sticks are another ingredient that could complement this kind of cocktail perfectly. It’s a different procedure however.
You light up the cinnamon stick and trap it by covering it with the same glass upside down or by placing it in a smoke house next to the glass such as we did & then let it sit for a minute or so until the smoke builds up and flavors the glass. Then you pour your cocktail into the glass and enjoy.
