Alien Brain Hemorrhage Shot – A Spooky Halloween Drink That Looks Wild & Tastes Surprisingly Good
Looking for a creepy but crowd-pleasing drink for your next Halloween party?
The Alien Brain Hemorrhage shot is spooky, strange, and surprisingly tasty. With its gory, brain-like look and fruity-creamy flavor, this one’s guaranteed to be the star of your spooky lineup and it’s easier to make than it looks.
Let’s break it down!
" Alien Brain Hemorrhage "
What makes this cocktail special?
What makes the Alien Brain Hemorrhage so memorable isn’t just the wild name, it’s the insane visual effect.
This layered shot gets its bizarre look from the way Irish Cream curdles slightly when it hits the Peach Schnapps, giving it that “brain in a jar” vibe. A dash of blue curacao and a drip of grenadine add creepy color and that final bloody twist.
Despite the horror-movie look, the taste is smooth and fun: sweet peach and cream with a hint of citrus and cherry. It’s a novelty shot, no doubt, but it’s one that always gets a reaction (which is exactly what you want at a party).
It’s been making the rounds in bars and Halloween parties since at least the early 2000s, often popping up on viral cocktail lists thanks to its gory aesthetic.
Here's our version and how you can do it too
Ingredients
30 ml ( 1 oz ) Peach Schnapps
15 ml ( 0.5 oz ) Irish Cream
1 dash Blue Curacao
1 dash Grenadine
How to do it
- Pour the Peach Schnapps into the Smol Skol Glass using the Classic Liquid Pourer
- Slowly layer the Irish Cream on top using the Classic Bar Spoon
- Add 1 dash of Blue Curacao
- Add 1 dash of Grenadine
Cheers !
How to Layer a Shot Like a Pro:
For perfect layers in an Alien Brain Hemorrhage, use the back of a bar spoon and pour slowly.
Peach Schnapps goes first, then gently float the Irish Cream, followed by a tiny dash of blue curacao and a drip of grenadine to finish.
The effect? A spooky, brainy swirl. Practice your pour and watch the magic happen!
