Here we go with a beautifully bright blue drink that you’re going to absolutely love! The Blue Hawaii Cocktail.
This one is a classic 1950s mix from the crushed ice all the way to the garnish. Features both rum and vodka and the secret ingredient that gives it the oceanic blue color.

History of this cocktail
It was invented in 1957 by Harry Yee, the legendary head bartender of the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki Hawaii when he was asked to design a drink that featured the blue curacao, a Caribbean liquor made using the dried peel of the Laraha citrus fruit.
It is such a fantastic and fun tropical drink that we absolutely love sharing with you !
Here’s what we used and how we did it
Ingredients
20 ml ( 0.66 oz ) White Rum
20 ml ( 0.66 oz ) Vodka
15 ml ( 0.5 oz ) Blue Curacao
90 ml ( 3 oz ) Pineapple Juice
Half Lemon Squeezed
Garnish : Kiwi Wheel on a tropical cocktail pick
How to do it
- Fill up the beauty shaker with ice
- Add the white rum, vodka and blue curacao
- Proceed to Add the pineapple juice & squeeze half a lemon into the shaker.
- Shake Well
- Fill up the tropical snake tail glass with crushed ice & Strain the cocktail inside it
- Garnish it with a Kiwi Wheel on a tropical cocktail pick
