" Whisky Cobbler "

History of this cocktail

The Whisky Cobbler has earned its spot in cocktail history as a refreshing classic with roots tracing back to the 1800s.

While its exact origin is debated, many credit its rise in popularity to Harry Craddock’s Savoy Cocktail Book, while others argue it took shape in David Embury’s The Fine Art of Mixing Drinks in the 1940s.

Regardless of its first appearance, the Whisky Cobbler became a go-to for showcasing spirit-forward flavor balanced with juicy citrus. It was one of the first drinks to popularize the use of a straw and it’s been refreshing whiskey lovers ever since.
