When was it invented ?

Though it shares the name, the Apple Martini isn’t a traditional martini — but that didn’t stop it from becoming an icon of late ’90s cocktail culture.

Created in 1996 by a bartender named Adam at Lola’s in West Hollywood, it was originally called the “Adam’s Apple Martini.”

The drink’s popularity exploded shortly after, thanks to its eye-catching color, fruity punch, and strong vodka base — making it a hit with both seasoned cocktail lovers and newcomers.

Despite other claims to its origin, Adam’s version is widely accepted as the original, and it’s stuck around ever since, evolving into a go-to for anyone seeking a fun, sweet, and modern martini twist.

Ingredients

120 ml ( 4 oz ) Vodka
45 ml ( 1.5 oz ) Apple Schnapps
45 ml ( 1.5 oz ) Triple Sec

How to do it 
  1. Pour Vodka, Apple Schnapps and Triple sec into the Mixing Glass using a Jigger
  2. Add ice cubes
  3. Stir very well using a Bar Spoon
  4. Strain into the Glass using a Hawthorne Strainer
  5. Insert your favorite straw
