How to prepare the San Salvador Cocktail

The following recipe is by far one of our favorites to make & to taste.

It’s a concoction of Dark Rum along side two orange ingredients ( Orange Juice & Orange Curacao ) with a final touch of lemon juice.

" San Salvador "

This cocktail not only looks aesthetically pleasing with the bright orange color but also tasted amazing.  You should definitely try it & add it to your recipes list !

The Equipment We used to Make it

45 ml ( 1.5 oz ) Dark Rum
30 ml ( 1 oz ) Orange Curacao
45 ml ( 1.5 oz ) Orange Juice
Half Lemon Squeezed

Garnish : Orange Peel Twisted on a Cocktail Pick

How to do it
  1. Add Ice to the Beauty Shaker using the Stainless Steel Ice Scoop
  2. Pour in the Dark Rum, Orange Curacao, Orange Juice using the Thick Double Jigger & squeeze half a lemon inside the shaker
  3. shake , Shake, SHAKE !
  4. Add Ice Balls into the Hunched Glass
  5. Strain the cocktail into the glass using the Sköl Hawthorne Strainer
  6. Garnish with an orange peel twisted on a cocktail pick & insert a matching straw

Shaking Tip : You can make a properly shaked cocktail with just about any type of Ice , even the regular stuff that you have at home.

The trick is modifying the way you shake according to the size of the ice you are using ( larger ice cubes require longer and harder shaking, however small or nearly crushed ice will melt quickly and it will overly dilute the drink so you’ll shake less when you’re using them )
